Helsinki Polytechnic (Stadia) launched its HPF 004 Formula Student racer today in their prototype garage in Helsinki. The HPF 004 is in total 45 kilos lighter than its predecessor. The Formula Student competition is an international competition between over 40 universities. The cars are 600cc monoposto racers with a maximum price tag of 21000 euros. The contestants will race against each other in Leicester in July. Stadia's automotive engineering students aim to reachieve the prize for 'Best European Team' and to fight for overall victory. Racingimages was on site to see the unveiling of the new car, now in its new metallic green livery reminiscent of the early Jaguar F1 cars from a few years ago. Racing Images keeps an eye on the future developments and race success of the HPF 004.
